What Is The Biggest Risk Palantir Is Facing? A Message For Palantir Investors

The below video is an extract of the interview hosted by Dave Lee with his guest, Tom Nash. discussing various topics on market trends, Tesla and Palantir. In the video segment, Tom talked about the biggest potential threat that Palantir is facing in the future and how the company is trying to mitigate that.

If you do not have time to watch the above video, the biggest threat basically comes from a mega-cap firm such as Microsoft trying to offer the same product and analytic tool and charge at a very low price, with the intention to take over Palantir’s market share and causing it to go bankrupt.

To mitigate this, Palantir will need to keep up its R&D and make sure its products are superior to its competitor. The company also needs to keep expanding its market share and retain its best talent (through stock-based compensation) to prevent them from being poached by other companies. When employees feel that they own a part of the company, then they will not be swayed by the tempting offers from its competitors.

I personally own 1400 Palantir shares so this piece of information is valuable to me. After watching numerous videos, especially the interviews with CEO Alex Karp, I have faith that this stock will be a winner in the future. In the meantime, I am selling covered calls options trading contracts on them, and trying to lower my average price.
