September was a low trading activity month in terms of options trading for me as I stayed away from making too many trades due to the seasonality of September being a volatile month with lower returns.
Instead of trading options, I was buying and selling shares, which gave me more flexibility when it comes to selling for short term gain or long term investing growth.
Here are the trades that I made for Sept 2024:
On 4th Sept, I sold 200 Nvidia shares to go on 200 naked shares for my SELL CALL contracts as I wanted to increase my excess liquidity, which was dropping fast together with a dip in Nvidia’s share price

On 11 Sep, I covered back my 200 Nvidia shares and bought into big tech stocks such as Microsoft, Amazon and QQQ ETF. I also bought a Nvidia CALL (bullish) and converted a SELL PUT contract into SELL CALL (bearish). That also meant that I was 100 Nvidia shares short in the new SELL CALL contract.
On 12 Sept, I averaged down on my losing positions in Tesla CALL and Coinbase shares.

I sold my big tech shares and free up my capital as I did not want to take the risk ahead of FOMC meeting, where they would be announcing the interest rate cut. In turn, I earned a USD358 profits from closing those positions.
On 19 Sept, I bought QQQ share as well cover my 100 Nvidia shares.

On 23 Sep, I bought more Tesla CALL options to average down on my current holdings
[23 Sept 24] Bought Tesla CALL
On 24 Sept, I bought 10 more BCS on Nvidia and the contracts would expire in Dec 24.
[24 Sept 24] Bought 10 x Nvidia Bull CALL Spread Contracts
On 27 Sept, I took profit on my Nvidia’s CALL option contract that I bought earlier in July.
[27 Sept 24] +USD406 Profits, Sold Nvidia LEAPS CALL
I also sold off my QQQ shares and hold cash to prepare for a volatile October month ahead.
