The US stock market got off to a good start in 2024 as the S&P 500 gained 1.6% in January. It was also my 4th consecutive profitable since Oct 2023.

The US stock market has been on an incredible bull run for the past few months and it is not clear when this will all come to a halt and turn south. I tried to take my profits whenever I could, to prevent myself from being caught out by a pullback or market correction. It is okay if I miss out on more gains after I close the contracts. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
