This is an update to my Singapore Savings Bond (SSB) portfolio. My final application of S$15,000 for July 25 SSB was granted, and I now own a total of S$150,000 worth of SSB. This sum of money will act as my emergency fund while generating monthly passive income for me over the next 10 years, as shown on the graph below.
As explained in my earlier post, I will not be injecting more capital into purchasing more SSB as the interest rate has dropped to a considerably low level of average annualised rate of 2.29%.
Instead of buying more SSB, I will use the capital to create a new dividend portfolio to achieve higher dividend returns, while also managing the higher risk investment. On 24th June 25, I have bought 100 shares of DBS stock at the share price of $44.11 and will continue my monthly purchase of dividend stocks to build up the dividend portfolio. My end goal remains the same, and that is to earn S$500 of passive income every month.
