On new year’s day, I went to buy 3 bottles of Manuka Honey (can only enjoy the 30% promotion with 3 bottles purchased), only to realise that I should have bought them the day before to avoid the additional 1% GST increase.
Our cost of living has risen significantly over the past few years, with the prices of everything overly inflated since the pandemic happened. The GST hike is another financial challenge we have to deal with.
To cope with these increased costs, we have to be prudent and watch our spending. Or to somehow increase our income, be it through our main stream of income (job/ business) or other sideline income, such as investing.
I have developed a keen interest in personal finance, investing and trading, and also have watched many hours of financial videos while I am doing my household chores. I hope to share what I have learnt as well as learn from others who are financially savvy.
Thus, I created this new community group for anyone who is interested to join to discuss and to learn from one another. I think personal finance is one important topic and life skill that we should all equip ourselves and our children. Investing, when done in a safe and low-risk manner, is a good way to increase our wealth and prepare us for our retirement. For friends who wish to venture further, we can also discuss about options trading and the simple-to-understand strategies.
