[Dec 22 Trading Review] -312.89K Loss In Earnings (Trades, Profits & Losses For December 2022)

December 2022 was my worst-performing month in almost 2 years of options trading as I cut a massive 333.8k of losses off my LEAPS Portfolio.

I have shared the reasons in the below article on why I decided to close this portfolio despite having more than a year left on 50% of the options contracts:
I Closed All My Remaining LEAPS CALL Positions At A Total Loss of SGD415K (USD306K)

The recent stock market rally ended on 14th December (after the FOMC meeting) as a hawkish Fed signaled more tightening ahead, despite good CPI results released on 13th December, on the eve of the FOMC meeting.

I sold most of my LEAPS CALL positions on the 13th and 15th Dec and avoided a greater loss as the market continued to fall for the rest of December.

Though I may suffer huge losses off my LEAPS Portfolio (which has been generating zero returns for the whole of 2022), I was able to recoup some of the losses from the realized gains from selling Covered CALL and Vertical Spreads. Thus, my net loss for December 2022 was -312k instead of 333.8k loss that I cut for my LEAPS Portfolio in December.

Here are some trades that I make for December 2022.
