$142k In Account, $0 For Withdrawal

I thought it may be useful to share this because this may happen to anyone who wishes to withdraw money from their brokerage and is unable to do so. As shown in the screenshots below, I had S$142k in my brokerage account.

However, the cash available for withdrawal to my bank account was S$0.

Why Am I Not Able To Withdraw?

The reason I was not able to withdraw was due to my liquidity issue. My excess liquidity was less than 10% of Equity with Loan Value.

In the below screenshot, my Equity with Loan Value was S$505k, so minimally, my excess liquidity is S$50.5k. I need to have an excess liquidity above this value in order to withdraw cash out from my brokerage account.

Concluding Thoughts

My liquidation issue was worsened this year due to my increasing unrealised loss in Nvidia’s SELL CALL contracts as Nvidia’s share price continued to skyrocket. It was also caused by Tesla’s falling share price, which I owned more than 700 shares and is currently the biggest position in my stock portfolio, which increased my unrealised loss in those positions.
